I've done various different things at various different times (from theatre stage management to renovating an Irish ruin) but I've always enjoyed writing.

It was only after a mini-career writing behavioural training videos, and another computer programming, that wrote The Smart Girl. Then I spent too long writing Here's One I Murdered Earlier (plotting is hard!), set in a lightly disguised version of my new home town of Frome, in Somerset. I didn't get around to releasing it at once (self-publishing is complicated!), and instead started on (Not) The Perfect Girlfriend (writing is fun!).

I'm not too interested in maximising sales. I'd be happy if even a relatively small number of readers thoroughly enjoyed reading one of my books, and were really sorry to get to the end.
